Infrared Services was engaged by Perth Market to design, install, commission, and provide ongoing maintenance and service for a fully integrated automated meter reading system with billing capability. This challenging project included coordinating isolations around the operations of more than 110 tenants with operations varying from logistics, warehousing, primary produce, cold storage, through to commercial offices. We were also required to manage the staged transition from a legacy manual billing system to the new fully automated system and provide the finance team with ongoing support throughout the change.
We designed the system from the ground up, and it was fully installed and integrated on site in approximately 12 weeks. The operational system is now responsible for measuring and allocating millions of units of electricity every month, including one of the largest roof top solar installations in the country.
